What is a "Testudo" anyway?
Testudo is the latin word for tortoise and also refers to the Testudo Formation or Defense, a Roman military tactic which involved a formation of soldiers using their shields to form a tortoise-shell-like protective cover against enemy weapons. Many individual pieces brought together to form a nearly impenetrable moving formation that was effective for both offensive and defensive maneuvers.
We chose this name because we believe that through discipline, dedication, and decisive direction, many individual pieces such as: proper mindset, proper skillset, proper tactics, quality equipment, quality friends and allies, and proper spiritual, mental, and physical preparedness, can come together to form an incredibly durable person who is well positioned to achieve higher levels of excellence and be prepared for whatever challenges lay before them.
